Covid 19

Tuvalu Red Cross continues to work in support of Government Ministry of Health  efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19, through house to house awareness and handing out flyers to the public to understand more about COVID-19. When vaccine first arrived in Tuvalu, the TuRCS staffs and volunteers work together with the Health Worker from the Ministry of Health in registering people of the community and also more awareness about the vaccine, ensuring every individual are aware of the threat of getting COVID -19 if they don’t get vaccinated. The obligations, duties and rights contained in TuRCS make it clear that everyone has a role to play in ensuring health and safety during response and operational activities on the field.

Tuvalu has reach the total population of 9233/9603 – 96.14 % for the first dose, second dose and booster. As of now, the 2nd dose is available for those who already got their 1st booster. TuRCS staff and volunteers are still  working together to support assisting the Ministry of Health.
